REFERENDUM ON THE METHOD OF APPOINTING THE RECTOR OF THE UNIVERSITY
Please note that on September 16, 2019, between 8.00-16.00, the Referendum on the method of appointing the Rector of the "Nicolae Titulescu" University will take place. In accordance with art. 209 of the Romanian Education Act, "(1) The Rector is appointed by one of the following methods: a) by public competition, based on a methodology approved by the newly elected university senate or b) by universal, direct and secret suffrage of all tenured teaching and research staff within the university, as well as student representatives in the university senate and faculty councils. (2) The method of appointing the rector of the university, whichever of the two under par. (1), is established at least six months before each appointment of the rector by universal, direct and secret suffrage of all tenured teaching and research staff within the university, as well as student representatives in the university senate and faculty councils ".
